Abstract

Dental transmigration is a rare condition in which an ectopically positioned tooth crosses the midline, most commonly involving the mandibular canine. This article reports the clinical case of a patient who underwent surgical removal of the upper left canine (tooth 23), ectopically positioned in the palatal region near the anterior nasal spine. Surgical indication was based on the unfavorable position of the tooth, stage of root development, and lack of space for orthodontic traction. The procedure was completed without complications, with full removal of the tooth and preservation of adjacent structures. The case highlights the importance of individualized assessment and imaging in the surgical planning of dental transmigration cases.
