¿Las sobredentaduras mandibulares retenidas por un solo implante se asocian con una mayor satisfacción del paciente? Una revisión sistemática

Objetivo: Evaluar si las sobredentaduras mandibulares retenidas por un implante ofrecen el mismo nivel de satisfacción del paciente en comparación con las retenidas por dos implantes. Métodos: Esta revisión sistemática se registró en PROSPERO (CRD42024585772) y sigue la lista de verificación PRISMA. El cuestionario PICO fue: "¿Se asocian las sobredentaduras mandibulares retenidas por un implante con una mayor satisfacción del paciente en comparación con las retenidas por dos implantes?". "P" correspondió a pacientes que utilizaron sobredentaduras mandibulares, "I" correspondió al uso de sobredentaduras mandibulares retenidas por un implante, "C" correspondió al uso de sobredentaduras retenidas por dos implantes y "O" correspondió a la satisfacción del paciente. La búsqueda se realizó en las bases de datos PubMed/Medline, Cochrane Library y Embase. Se utilizó la escala RoB 2 para determinar el riesgo de sesgo y el método GRADE para evaluar la calidad de la evidencia. Resultados: La búsqueda en bases de datos recuperó 2408 estudios. Tras eliminar los duplicados y leer la totalidad de los estudios, se consideraron elegibles. Según la escala RoB 2, se observó un predominio de bajo riesgo de sesgo en los siete dominios. Según el enfoque GRADE, no se observó un efecto significativo en los estudios incluidos. Conclusión: El uso de un implante en la sobredentadura mandibular es una estrategia clínica viable con una buena satisfacción del paciente.Descargas
